Hooray for The Queens Kickshaw's Liquor License

Last week, after all the Queens Swap activities died down and we were able to sit down and chat with Queens Kickshaw owners, Ben and Jen, we found out some pretty exciting news about their new liquor license.  Well...first off is that it's now in effect, officially as of today.  Along with that come extended hours from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m., which is so grand for us folks who have day jobs and can't visit during weekday daylight hours.

In terms of their new adult beverage offering, you can expect 26 diverse craft ales and ciders too.  But something else that's pretty special are the above pictured pickle back shots that Ben told us about - and had us taste.  They include fermented pickled liquid from fruits such as blueberries, jalapenos, various stone fruit and maybe even some other suprises too.  My favorite was the jalapeno, as it was really sharp, spicy and contorted your face into the most delicious pout.  It wasn't only fun to drink, it was a total conversation starter.
