Queens...A Taste of the World is Back

I'm excited to bring you news that Queens...A Taste of the World is back on the horizon.  For those of you who've been before, or if you've followed my commentary, it's one of the largest tasting events of the year with a wide array of participating restaurants from all over the borough.  Yes...many of them do come from Astoria and LIC, but you'll also get exposure to restaurants from other areas such as Forest Hills, Maspeth, Rego Park, Corona, Jamaica and others.

While a lot of the event details are still being ironed out, the date has been set for Tuesday, May 10th.

As a way to get people psyched about the event, The Queens Economic Development Corporation, that organizes this shin-dig is holding a Facebook giveaway for a chance to win free tickets.  All you have to do is "like" them on Facebook, comment on their wall and make sure to include the code "TASTE2011" in your post.  This will automatically enter you into the ticket drawing.  A winner will be announced as we get closer to the event.  So...get to it, and good luck!
