Seva Springrolls - A Great Way to Start Any Indian Feast

Seva Indian restaurant continues to be my go-to place for delicious and inexpensive Indian food.  I like it so much because it caters to almost anyone, whether you're a spice-seeker or a mild mannered eater.

Here I'd like to highlight an appetizer, the lamb spring rolls that I recently tried and really loved.  I highly recommend it to meat eaters and especially during this time of year--it's a very hearty and comforting dish.

Lamb Springrolls - I couldn't imagine what these would look like, and I pictured them to be smaller and not as rich in meat.  As you could see, their shell resembles an egg roll, and the interior is just wonderful, stuffed with ground lamb, green peas, coriander and a side of mint raita.  I loved the seasoning, as each bite had a definite kick to it, but the cooling raita helped soothe the senses back for yet another bite.  This is an excellent appetizer for splitting with 1 or two other people--as you can see, the portion is generous.

Cost: $5
